Full powers of sanctioning the payment to government, semi government agencies for purchasing of stores and services considering the same on single quotation basis. |

The Directorate of Administration headed by Director Administration (BPS-19) and assisted by one Deputy Director, one Assistant Directors, one special Magistrate, one DSP (Land Control Officer) and Medical Officer male alongwith their ancillary staff has been assigned/allocated the following duties and functions. |

Recruitment of staff. |

Maintenance of personnel record/files/service books. |

Maintaining discipline in the Authority |

Enforcement of Civil Servant Conduct Rules and Efficiency and Discipline Rules amended from time to time. |

Making arrangement for holding Authority meetings and preparation of agenda and minutes of authority meeting. |

Inspection of annual stock taking. |
| 27. |
To pursue legal cases and follow up action on the decision of the courts. |

Provision and maintenance of MDA vehicles. |
| 29. |
Control over encroachments within the controlled area of the Authority. |
| 30. |
To try in a summary way the offence punishable under the Punjab Development of Cities Act, 1976. |

Dealing with public complaints if directed by the Authority. |
| 32. |
Provision of medical attendance/treatment of all employees of the Authority and arrangement for re-imbursement of medical charges to the employees. |

Preparation of annual budget estimates of the authority. |
| 34. |
Control on financial resources of the authority. |
| 35. |
Performing the duties of drawing/disbursing officer of the authority. |
| 36. |
Scrutiny of all expenditure of the authority and maintenance of accounts record of the authority. |
| 37. |
Maintenance of the record of all advances given to the employees of the authority as well as other government departments against the deposit work. |
| 38. |
Reconciliation of authority's accounts with the concerned banks. |
| 39. |
Dealing with the Departmental Accounts Committee and Public Accounts Committee's matters of the Authority. |
